Makhana cultivation is a centuries-old practice. The superfood was earlier used in temples, ayurvedic treatments and during fasts. It is rich, nutritious, natural and pure. Inspired by this rich tradition, we began the journey of Bhumiik. The vision was simple – to bring the pure and wholesome goodness of nature into the lives of our modern-day health-conscious consumers.

 

Today, consumers have become more aware and health-conscious, and they seek healthier and tastier alternatives to fried snacks like chips. Our Makhana fulfils their need – It is natural, clean, healthy, crunchy and most importantly, tasty. No additives, no preservatives – just the pure, delicious bites your health deserves.

When we say pure, we absolutely mean it. Our Makhana is handpicked and cleaned manually, and our staff ensures that only the best quality reaches you. We produce our Makhana ourselves, and additionally source it directly from small-scale farmers of the region. With this, we ensure the welfare and development of the local farming community, too.

 

Within a short span of time, Bhumiik has built a strong presence for itself in the snacking market. We sell our current range – Phool Makhana, Aarambh and Pavitram – pan-India, and are all set to launch a whole new flavourful, but healthy range in the coming months. We aspire to become a global brand and offer our customers products that promise health and an unforgettable taste.

Bhumiik is a brand by HSRA FARMS AND PRODUCTS Pvt. Ltd. We are committed to selling pure, natural and healthy Makhana to our customers.

We produce our Makhana in the state of Bihar, the largest producer of Makhana globally. Apart from producing Makhana ourselves, we also source directly from the small-scale farmers of the region. These farmers produce some of the best quality Makhana in the world.

First, foxnut seeds are harvested manually from the ponds. They are then cleaned and dried in the sun and gently roasted over a medium flame in small batches. This is followed by the pounding and popping of seeds, which produces the Makhana. In the end, the Makhana is cleaned, graded and packed.
